State Bank Announces Recruitment for 27th SBOTS Batch

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has opened applications for the 27th batch of its State Bank Officers Training Scheme (SBOTS), offering a promising career path for motivated individuals interested in joining the central bank.

Eligibility Criteria– Master’s, Bachelor’s, or equivalent degree with at least 60% marks in relevant fields including Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, Commerce, Finance, Statistics, Data Sciences, Actuarial Sciences, Accounting, Computer Sciences, Information Systems, Management, Agricultural Management, Islamic Banking and Finance, Law, Media and Culture Studies, Philosophy, or Physics.
– Degrees must be from recognized institutions.
Age Limit– Maximum 28 years as of September 8, 2024.
– Age relaxation of 3 years for women, transgender individuals, minorities, and candidates from Balochistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and select areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Application and Testing Procedure

Eligible Pakistani citizens, including those from Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, must apply online through the SBP website (SBP Careers) and submit their applications via the online portal (Application Submission). Alternatively, you can access the Careers Page by scanning the QR Code provided.

Ensure that your application includes all required information, such as a photograph and date of birth. Applications lacking essential details or not meeting the specified criteria will not be considered.

Important Dates:

  • Application Deadline: September 23, 2024
  • No in-person or email applications will be accepted.

Shortlisted candidates will receive an SMS from the Testing Agency with details about the pre-induction written test. Admit cards will be sent to postal addresses and made available on the Testing Agency’s website. There is no fee for the test.

The Testing Agency will also upload the list of candidates who have passed the written test on its website.

Selection Procedure

Candidates who pass the written test and meet all eligibility criteria will proceed to the next stages of selection, including group discussions, psychometric tests, and panel interviews. Bring original documents, including educational and professional certificates, an Equivalence Certificate from HEC (for foreign qualifications), your domicile, and CNIC.

Candidates found providing false information, attempting to influence the recruitment process, or tampering with documents will be disqualified from this and future recruitment processes.

Pre-Induction Training

Selected candidates must complete all pre-induction requirements, including medical and psychological evaluations, and provide proof of education. They will then undergo residential Applied Focused Theoretical Training at the National Institute of Banking and Finance (NIBAF) in Islamabad. Successful trainees will be appointed as Assistant Director (OG-2) at SBP in Karachi.

Compensation Package

  • Monthly Stipend During Training: Rs 41,000
  • Salary After Training: Rs 82,000 per month, plus additional allowances and benefits as per the OG-2 salary scale.
