Punjab Police Officer SSP Rafat Bukhari has earned international recognition for Pakistan by winning the Excellence in Performance Award from the International Association of Women Police (IAWP).
The award was presented at the 61st annual IAWP conference, which took place in Chicago, USA. SSP Bukhari, who is currently serving with the Punjab Safe Cities Authority, received this prestigious honor in recognition of her significant contributions to women’s safety, the implementation of artificial intelligence, advanced traffic management systems, and the enhancement of road safety protocols.

This award is one of the most esteemed honors, annually given to a single female police officer worldwide who demonstrates outstanding service and commitment to their community. IAWP President Deborah Friedl presented the award to SSP Bukhari, commending her for her influential role in the field of law enforcement.
Inspector General of Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, and Ahsan Younas, Managing Director of the Punjab Safe Cities Authority, extended their congratulations to SSP Bukhari.
