SED Initiates Process for Post Up-gradation in Punjab

The Punjab School Education Department has taken a crucial step towards addressing pending agenda items related to the up-gradation of various posts. In an official communication dated September 2, 2024, the department directed several key educational institutions, including the Children Library Complex (CLC), National Museum of Science and Technology (NMSC), and the Quaid-e-Azam Academy for Educational Development (QAED), to provide necessary information.

The posts awaiting up-gradation decisions include:

  1. IT Lab Incharge
  2. Qari Teacher
  3. Officer Clerk
  4. Cashier
  5. Film Projectionist
  6. Lab Assistant

A particular focus has been placed on the “Film Projectionist” position, for which the department has requested detailed information to proceed with up-gradation. The requested details include the job description, the number of filled and vacant positions, performance evaluations, and other pertinent data.

Institutions are required to submit the requested information within two days to facilitate the decision-making process.

The School Education Department is working closely with the provincial cabinet and the Additional Chief Secretary to resolve these pending matters, ensuring timely and efficient action for improving the educational administration structure in Punjab.
