In a major step towards energy efficiency, the Punjab government has decided to install solar systems at all 737 police stations across the province. Inspector General (IG) Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, announced that the solar systems will ensure uninterrupted services at the front desks of police stations.
The project will be completed in two phases. In the first phase, solar systems are being installed at 350 police stations, and in the second phase, the remaining 375 police stations will be equipped with solar power in the next fiscal year.
This initiative is expected to improve service delivery and reduce energy costs for the police force.
