The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is an impressive device but has some drawbacks, particularly in charging speed. Unlike the Pixel 9 Pro XL, which offers a maximum wired charging rate of 37W, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is limited to just 21W. This has been confirmed by Google, aligning with testing results.
Despite its higher price, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is the slowest charger among Google’s flagship models, with a 4,650 mAh battery that charges slightly slower than the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro, both at 4,700 mAh. The budget Pixel 8a charges even slower at 18W.
Additionally, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold supports only 7.5W Qi wireless charging and does not work with the Pixel Stand, similar to its predecessor.
