Nasl Al Bahr Exercise: Pakistan Navy Ships Engage with UAE Counterparts

The Pakistan Navy’s ships, PNS Shamsheer and PNS Haibat, recently docked at Mina Zayed Port in Abu Dhabi, UAE, to take part in the Nasl Al Bahr exercise.

Upon their arrival, the ships were warmly welcomed by senior UAE Navy officials and the Pakistani Defence Attaché, according to a news release from the Pakistan Navy.

The Mission Commander and the Commanding Officers of PNS Shamsheer and PNS Haibat met with Brigadier Abdullah Faraj Al Muhairi, Deputy Commander of the UAE Navy. Discussions focused on mutual interests, strengthening bilateral relations, and the details of the Ex Nasl Al Bahr exercise.

During their port visit, the ships were also visited by UAE’s Assistant Minister for Security and Maritime Affairs, Salem Saeed Al Jabri, the Pakistani Ambassador to the UAE, senior UAE Armed Forces officials, and prominent members of the Pakistani community.

The visit included enthusiastic tours of the ships by students and community members, as well as cross-visits between naval units and joint sports activities.

Following the port call, PNS Shamsheer and PNS Haibat will engage in the Nasl Al Bahr exercise, which aims to improve interoperability, demonstrate operational readiness, and strengthen the already robust relationship between the two navies.
