Google Maps Brings Incident Reporting to Android Auto

Google Maps is finally introducing incident reports on Android Auto, enhancing its functionality for drivers. Initially available on mobile, users could only view existing reports in Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. However, following a July announcement, Android Auto users in India began accessing the feature.

Recently, an Android Auto user shared that the incident reporting feature is now live, indicated by a yellow triangle with a “+” icon beneath other controls. Tapping this icon allows users to report crashes, slowdowns, construction, lane closures, and more, similar to the options available on mobile.

Despite the slow rollout, the update signals progress in improving driver communication through Google Maps. If you have access to incident reports on Android Auto, share your experience!
