In a groundbreaking move, for the first time in Punjab’s history, the School Education Department conducted a written test to fill CEO Education positions across the province. Sources, under the condition of anonymity, have confirmed to Gizmo Pakistan that all current CEOs are expected to be replaced as a result of this initiative.
Sources in School Education department reveal that many of the existing CEOs were appointed by local political leaders under the previous administration, reflecting a political alignment rather than educational merit. The upcoming changes are part of a broader reform initiative, which includes a newly implemented written test conducted by the School Education Department for the CEO positions.
Out of the large pool of applicants, 100 candidates successfully passed the written test and are now in the running for the prestigious CEO Education positions. The interviews for these roles are scheduled to begin tomorrow, marking the next phase in this unprecedented recruitment process.
The successful candidates will undergo a 4-day specialized training program in Lahore, designed to prepare them for the responsibilities ahead. This strategic move is seen as a significant step toward improving the education system by bringing in fresh leadership.
