The long-standing issue of transferring 729 plots from the Defense Housing Authority (DHA) to the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has been resolved.
DHA has now issued allotment letters for these plots to CDA, which plans to offer them to the public, including overseas Pakistanis.
The resolution came after a meeting at CDA headquarters led by Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, attended by senior officials.
The dispute had been ongoing since 2007-2008 when CDA transferred land to DHA under an agreement that was never fully implemented.
The new agreement has successfully transferred the plots, valued in the billions, to CDA.
